In recent years, the Brazilian Superior Labor Court (TST) has undertaken a range of
international cooperation initiatives, both bilaterally and multilaterally.
These efforts promote the exchange of information and best practices with foreign courts
while strengthening the TST’s presence in international organizations and events. Such
initiatives contribute to fulfilling Brazil’s foreign policy objectives, in line with the constitutional
principles that guide the country’s international relations (article 4 of the Federal
Constitution).
In this context, the TST has actively engaged in various consultation and cooperation
platforms in the judicial field. This involvement takes place through participation in
international judicial networks and high-level forums, such as the International Labour
Organization, BRICS, Ibero-American Judicial Summits, Portuguese-speaking countries’
forums, G20 conferences, and United Nations summits.
This ongoing effort also encompasses several international technical cooperation projects,
fostering mechanisms that help disseminate best practices across the global legal
community.
The International Relations Office is responsible for coordinating these activities and
initiatives within the TST’s organizational structure
